Hey Mama, I'm Kate
and these legends below are my heart, soul and world

Family Photo Pink Gold Border.png

I am so so excited you are here beautiful mama! Disclosure straight up: I am a big softie that will want to hug, love and spoil you throughout your new motherhood journey. I wish I was your neighbour so I could hold bubs while you have a hot shower or help prepare some vegies for dinner or fold your washing ~ just so it is one less thing for you to worry about!

I want to delegate all the jobs possible to your family and friends so you can focus on

YOU and YOUR BABY! ;-)

This special, incredible and life-changing time is not possible to truly explain in words. In saying that, it isn't easy and may be one of the most challenging times you will ever go through in your life. It is amazing that something so magical can also be so scary and tiring all at once. I sometimes felt all those emotions within five minutes.

Supporting, empowering and nurturing first-time and new mums is a feeling deep in my heart that overflows my cup beyond belief ~ knowing I can be here for you.

Now, I know there are so many doulas, so many early childhood educators, so many mums and other women who want to support new mums, so what makes me different?

........ Well that is exactly it,

I am ME!

I put my babies first, for every second of every day. I don't remember there ever being a moment where I thought about my own needs ~ I just wanted to make sure that my baby was getting everything they needed and more! To me, there was no other way, I couldn't see how anyone could worry about themselves once they held their baby in their arms for the first time. I was on such a high and there are no words that I can use to explain the god-like feeling I experienced. I remember looking out my hospital window at traffic, while holding my newborn baby, thinking "these people are all driving around like today is a normal day? I have just given birth, life will never be the same, how could I ever go back to life the same as it was yesterday?" I literally felt like not only my world, but the entire world had been turned upside down and inside out.

Over the years, it didn't matter how tired I got, how much stress I experienced or how overwhelmed I felt, I wouldn't have had it any other way. My babies were my absolute priority and my needs didn't come into it. I got all the basic things I needed and I had a super supportive husband, so life couldn't have been better. Well so I thought... fast forward many years, my own beliefs of my needs not being a consideration over my babies needs have changed, a lot! That is what has brought me here today with you :-) â€‹â€‹

Ten things I'd love to share with you so you can know a bit about me and who I am ...

1. I'm 43 years old - a 1982 baby! Graduated 1999, I loved it was special being the last year of the century.

2. I have the best husband in the world! Married for 19 years and I think it works so well because he is my best friend. He is a firefighter and builds motorcycles, so I think he is pretty cool.

3. I am a one-eyed obsessed Collingwood supporter ~ since birth. GO PIES!

4. I am a hippie at heart and love all things alternative and boho! I secretly want to be a gypsy.

5. I could be the CEO of Netflix, I LOVE binge watching anything criminal and old - hello Criminal Minds, CSI, Law & Order, Outlander, A Place to call Home and Yellowstone..... Beth Dutton is my Spirit Animal.

6. I created my first parenting blog over 13 years ago, called K.A.T.E (Kids Activities & Tips 4 Everyday).

7. I LOVE learning from people who have done the hard work first!

8. I have created my own air plants, nourishing salts and crystal candles range.

9. I travelled around Australia with my husband, three kids and three dogs in our vintage van Peaches and LOVED it. I would have kept going but they were all ready for home.

10. My favourite ice-cream is Reese's Peanut Butter ~ I hope we can still be friends lol.
