Asking for Help Isn’t a Weakness

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that needing help meant we weren’t doing well enough. That if we could just be more organised, more patient, more capable — we’d manage everything on our own.
But here’s the truth: asking for help isn’t weakness. It’s brave. It’s strong.
It takes courage to say, “I can’t do this alone.” It takes strength to let someone in — to admit that you’re tired, or overwhelmed, or just need a moment to breathe.
Motherhood isn’t meant to be done solo. It’s meant to be supported.
When you reach out for help, you’re not only looking after yourself — you’re showing your baby what it looks like to value wellbeing, connection, and honesty.
You’re not failing. You’re human. And you are still every bit the loving, capable mother your baby needs.
Let others show up for you. Let yourself be held, too.
Because doing what’s best for you is doing what’s best for your baby. 💛
