LOOK BEFORE you lock!

Updated: Apr 22

In the busyness of motherhood — the nappy bags, the mental to-do lists, the fog of sleep deprivation — it’s so easy to go into autopilot. That’s why the phrase “Look before you lock” is such an important one for us to hold close.

It’s a simple habit: take one extra moment to check the back seat before locking your car.

That tiny pause could save a precious life.

Hot cars can become dangerous in minutes, even on cooler days. Our beautiful babies, often so quiet and content in their car seats, can be accidentally left behind — especially when routines change or our minds are juggling too much.

There’s absolutely no shame in needing reminders. Life is full. You are doing so much. Let this be one of those gentle habits you build in — just like buckling their seatbelt or checking the nappy bag.

Stick a note on your dashboard.

Put your bag or phone on the back seat.

Set a daily phone alert.

Whatever works for you.

Because your baby’s safety matters, and so do you.

You're doing an amazing job, Mama — one day, one drive, one check at a time.
