When a baby is born, a mother is born too.

It’s easy to focus on the arrival of a new baby — the tiny toes, the snuggles, the miracle of new life. But quietly, powerfully, something else is born at the same time: a mother.
And that birth?
It can be just as earth-shaking, as raw, and as intense — sometimes even more — than childbirth itself.
A mother is not simply who she was before, now with a baby in her arms. She is becoming someone entirely new. Her identity, her body, her emotions, her relationships, her sense of self — all shift as she steps into this role. It’s beautiful, yes. But it’s also messy. Vulnerable. Tender. Powerful.
Let’s start honouring that transformation, too. Let’s support her birth as fiercely as we support her baby’s.
Because when we nurture the mother, we nurture the whole family. 💛
